They come from all walks of life, with experience in areas like finance, real estate, education,and running non-profits. This mix of backgrounds ensures we make informed decisions and effectively guide NHSSN's mission.

Darius Toston is an award-winning mortgage professional, strategist, and military veteran with over 20 years of service-oriented experience in the mortgage industry. He demonstrates strong leadership, mentoring, and relationship-building skills, which have driven disciplined, goal-oriented activities that enhance performance and achieve sales targets.
Mr. Toston has a proven track record in project management, team coaching, and public relations. His extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, coupled with his managerial, communication, and strategic planning abilities, makes him a well-rounded sales professional and an effective leader in today's dynamic mortgage market.
He currently serves as a Vice President and Mortgage Retail Lending Manager at JP Morgan Chase, overseeing operations in Nevada, Northern California, Oregon, Washington, and New Mexico. A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he was also a student-athlete on the football team, Mr. Toston holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and is actively engaged in his community.

Gabriela Wyatt is a seasoned banking professional with over two decades of experience dedicated to supporting businesses and fostering inclusive growth. Her expertise lies in securing access to capital, focusing on providing essential resources to underserved business communities in Nevada.
Through collaboration with various community partners, Gabriela aims to enhance financial education and offer viable solutions tailored to local needs. She is a strong advocate for marginalized voices and builds critical alliances with community leaders. Her bilingual skills allow her to connect with a broader audience, reflecting her cultural sensitivity.
Gabriela actively creates equitable opportunities for communities of color and serves on multiple boards, including as Chair of the Nevada Commission on Minority Affairs, where she helps change legislation to support BIPOC communities. She also serves on the boards of Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada and the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives, Nevada Chapter, and acts as an advisor for the Governance Committee of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. Her commitment to effecting positive change drives her to create a better tomorrow.

Paola Pruitt

Paola Pruitt is a seasoned accounting professional with over 25 years of experience in nonprofit, private, and governmental sectors. A native New Yorker and recent Las Vegas resident, she earned her BS in Accounting from Bernard Baruch College, where she built a strong foundation in financial management and organizational accountability.
She currently serves as a Fractional CFO and partners with mission-driven organizations to deliver strategic financial leadership, streamline operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Her work focuses on creating systems that support long-term sustainability, data-informed decision-making, and transparent financial reporting.
Throughout her career, she’s been drawn to roles that serve a larger purpose. She is especially passionate about philanthropy and expanding access to affordable and low-income housing—areas where financial stewardship plays a critical role in delivering real, measurable impact to underserved communities. She brings not only deep technical expertise but also a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset. She believes in balancing strategic vision with operational practicality, and strives to be a steady, thoughtful presence in any leadership setting.

Marisa Cervantes is the Chief Operations Director at Family Promise of Las Vegas, bringing over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Passionate about serving vulnerable families, she specializes in grant writing, fundraising, and program management. Marisa leads operations, marketing, and development efforts to secure vital resources for sustaining and expanding programs, ensuring families receive the support needed for housing stability and a brighter future.
She has been a dedicated board member of Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada (NHSSN) for over 10 years, currently serving as the secretary for the executive team.

MARC MATSUO
Asian Community Resource Coalition
Managing Director
Marc Matsuo is the Managing Director of the Asian Community Resource Center and Coalition, dedicated to community service through educational, health, and cultural initiatives. Hailing from Hawaii, he embodies the spirit of aloha, promoting harmony and care.
Marc began his community involvement in Hawaii with United Way and Junior Achievement. He moved to Las Vegas in 1996 to establish a successful coffee roasting business and has since become a key figure in local organizations, including the Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Japan American Society of Nevada.
With experience in launching hotels like the M Resort and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, Marc uses his diverse background to spread the Aloha Spirit in all his endeavors.

QUENTIN SAVWOIR

Director of Programs & Strategy
Quentin Savwoir holds a BA in Political Science and a BA in Communications from Rockhurst University, as well as an MS in Communication from Purdue University. Currently, he serves as the Director of Programs & Strategy at Ballot Initiative Strategy, where he leverages his expertise as a political operative and community organizer to drive impactful initiatives.
Quentin is dedicated to addressing the housing crisis in Nevada, advocating for adequate, affordable housing options and tenant rights. He also serves as the President of the NAACP Las Vegas, focusing on the urgent issue of housing insecurity. As a co-founder of the Nevada Housing Justice Alliance, he has developed and implemented strategic approaches to mitigate the impact of the housing crisis and protect families from displacement. He believes that NHSSN is well-positioned to make a significant impact outside the constraints of our binary political system.
Known for his intellectual rigor, strong public speaking abilities, and strategic thinking, Quentin is a skilled program builder and implementer, fully committed to creating meaningful change within the community.

SCOTT SELLERS
City National Bank
VP/Regional Field Sales Manager
Scott Sellers is the Vice President and Regional Field Sales Manager overseeing branch sales colleagues in the Las Vegas, Nevada, and Los Angeles, California markets. He collaborates closely with Commercial and small business banking to enhance relationships and develop new business opportunities.
Before his current 8-year tenure at City National Bank, Scott spent a decade learning banking 101 at one of the largest banks in the US performing various roles from teller, banker, business banker, and branch manager positions. He also thrived at a regional sized bank in the business banking segment which leads to an aggregate of 20 plus years in banking.
Scott studied at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Daytona State College. Most recently, he graduated from the oldest and most prestigious banking school in the US, Pacific Coast Banking School (PCBS) at the University of Washington completing a 3 year master-level extension program and executive leadership.
Actively involved in the community, Scott volunteers with numerous nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada, and the AS Association’s Nevada Chapter. Scott also served 3 years on the board of Morlon Greenwood Foundation – MG52.

Attorney
Austin T. Barnum, Esq., was born and raised in Henderson, NV. He is a trial attorney dedicated to fighting for his clients’ rights and interests in civil and criminal cases in federal and state court. Austin is also currently a Major in the United States Army Reserves and serving as the 349 Psychological Operations Company Commander.

Tiffany brings her energy and passion for affordable housing to her role on the NHSSN board. She joined in 2020 and previously served as the head of the Community Building Engagement Committee for several years. Tiffany's enthusiasm is instrumental in bringing many NHSSN events to life, ensuring they are engaging and impactful.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and volunteering with other local nonprofits, where she continues to channel her vibrant energy into community-building efforts. Tiffany is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.

XIAOXIAO WANG

Xiaoxiao Wang is a finance professional specializing in Treasury Management, holding both an MBA and a master’s degree in Finance from Northeastern University in Boston. Passionate about real estate and community development, she is committed to enhancing financial education within her community. Xiaoxiao has actively participated in initiatives with organizations such as Junior Achievement, Green Our Planet, and Communities in Schools.
In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing and all outdoor activities. Xiaoxiao is excited to be a part of NHSSN and contribute to the agency's growth.
